8 October 2021 Friday - intermediate workshop

  • £140.00

intermediate workshop day

Landscape shooting followed by digital processing tutorial composition, exposure, awareness of light, and why you ought to be shooting RAW files and using a tripod led by David Purdie from the purdiegallery, maximum 6 people.

The days have been very popular and as the groups are small, we can accommodate different levels of skill. We have had the less skilled and real experts and both are able to take something new from the day.

The workshop consists of us all shooting at two or three locations throughout the day, with lunch in a pub or cafe.

At the end of the day we end up back at the gallery where I process my pictures through Adobe Lightroom, which has become the standard for most photographers. If is Photoshop re-worked for photograpy only. It is much better designed and cheaper than photoshop. The idea is you will have similar shots to process when you get home. This part of the day is recorded and sent to you later as a download to rewatch on your computer. This means you can pause or wind back to check what is happening.

I will process my photos taken alongside (so similar to) yours from the day, and show you how I process the pictures to get them looking as good as possible.
I will do a quick online demo of my technique for stitching together multiple shots to get the high quality prints we sell in the gallery.

This is to book and secure your place as one of a group of (maximum) six on a workshop day with David Purdie. Meeting at the gallery in Rye at 10am and finishing back at the gallery at 6pm. Lunch, tea coffee and snacks included.

For fulll details about the day see the relevant workshop day on the website. Please make sure to give us you phone number (preferably mobile) AND email address. Just in case there is a problem with either we have another way of contacting you. We send out full details about the day, paking info and so on, a week before the day via email.
