beginners day

The beginners day is for those new to digital photography or who have only ever used their camera as a point-and-shoot. If you want to gain more control over how your pictures are coming out, then this is the day for you.

The day is based around Rye, dropping into the gallery to show examples and give you ideas. We will cover things like shutter speeds, focusing, how the lens settings change the way your pictures look, what the ISO settings mean and how to use them, and how you can improve the quality of your pictures by shooting in RAW format. We also cover awareness of light and shade, how to shoot flowers and foliage, composition and so on.

In summary, it’s a one day primer for moving beyond pointing and shooting.

The cost is £120 per day, lunch in a pub, tea and coffee is all included in the price, maximum 6 people. To book please ring the gallery.
